Raphael Warnock
Senior Pastor, Ebenezer Baptist Church
Raphael Warnock is the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, the spiritual home of Martin Luther King Jr., since 2005. Known for his activism and public voice, he authored The Divided Mind of the Black Church: Theology, Piety and Public Witness. Seeing his pastoral work as tied to the ministry of scholarship and the life of the mind, Warnock earned a master’s of philosophy and a doctorate of philosophy in systematic theology. He’s a member of 100 Black Men of Atlanta and an NAACP lifetime member. Warnock’s activism was honored in 2016 when his footprints were placed on the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame. Warnock is participating in the Aspen Ideas Festival as a 2019 Scholar.
