Richard Berke is the founder and executive editor of STAT, a Boston-based national media company that covers health, medicine, and science. He was previously executive editor of POLITICO. A longtime reporter and editor at The New York Times, Berke served as chief political correspondent, White House correspondent, Washington editor, national editor, and video content editor, as well as two stints as assistant managing editor. He started his career as a reporter at the Baltimore Evening Sun. Berke is a longtime member of the senior advisory committee at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics at the Kennedy School of Government.
