One of America’s leading foreign correspondents for his coverage of wars, revolutions, and political transitions around the world for over 20 years, Engel has reported on the Syrian civil war, the 2011 revolution in Egypt, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other world events. His work has received eight Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a Scripps Howard Award, among others.
