Rob Giampietro is director of design at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, leading efforts with a creative team to open an expanded MoMA in fall 2019. From 2015 to 2018, he was creative lead at Google in New York, where he managed the Google Design website launch, a company-wide UX refresh, and Google AI R&D efforts, among other projects. From 2010 to 2015, Giampietro was a principal at Project Projects, whose work was awarded the National Design Award in 2015. A senior critic at RISD’s MFA graphic design program, he received a MacDowell Colony Fellowship and the American Academy in Rome 2014–’15 Rome Prize in Design.
