Robert Kyncl is chief business officer at YouTube, overseeing global content, data and distribution partnerships, and operations of the platform’s products. Previously, he was vice president of content at Netflix, where he was responsible for content acquisition for streaming movies and TV shows and, before that, managing negotiations with movie studios and inventory of DVDs. Kyncl is co-author of Streampunks: YouTube and the Rebels Remaking Media. He’s a board member of Bolttech and co-founder of the Kyncl Family Foundation, which supports underserved communities through scholarships in STEM fields. Kyncl’s recognition includes being named to Vanity Fair’s New Establishment, Billboard’s Digital Power Players, and the Adweek 50 top leaders in media, marketing, and tech lists.
