Robinson Meyer is a staff writer at The Atlantic, where he co-founded Planet, the magazine’s climate section, and authors The Weekly Planet, its climate newsletter. In 2020, he co-founded the COVID Tracking Project at The Atlantic, a volunteer effort that collected and published coronavirus data from every US state and territory, which was widely cited and reused. Previously an associate editor for The Atlantic, Meyer began writing for the magazine in 2011. He has also been a visiting fellow in journalism at the University of Chicago’s Energy Policy Institute. In 2021, Meyer received the American Society of Magazine Editors’ NEXT Award for Journalists Under 30. He is a two-time recipient of the SEAL Environmental Journalism Award.
