Rocco Calandruccio is the Founder and CEO of Current EV Motors, a company determined to execute a truly scalable and sustainable approach to EV conversions. A trained Industrial Designer (SCAD, Art Center College of Design) with a degree in History (University of the South-Sewanee), Calandruccio sketched a now multi-patented idea with his son several years ago making EV conversion kits accessible to the masses. Calandruccio’s upbringing in rural Tennessee exposed him to acres of abandoned vehicles, which sparked a determination to challenge the notion of cars as disposable items. Professionally, Calandruccio brings 20+ years in design engineering and management across several product categories. He also served as Director of Sustainability at his alma mater, Sewanee. Additionally, his work experience at American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) gave him hands-on experience in executing and scaling successful vehicle conversion products. With four patents (in the US and Canada) for direct-drive EV conversion kits, CEV seeks to create a simplified, efficient path toward retrofitting the world's population of existing vehicles.
