Rodrigo Bazua Lobato is a HEAL fellow and community programs coordinator for Compañeros en Salud, the Mexican sister organization of Partners in Health, which works internationally to care for poor patients and help build and strengthen health systems. Bazua is trained as a primary care physician and is committed to social justice and service to marginalized populations. With Compañeros en Salud, he works in remote rural clinics and manages community health workers in Chiapas, Mexico. A 2018 Aspen New Voices Fellow, Bazua has been awarded the Gustavo Baz Award to Social Service in 2016 and the Excellence in Health and Nutrition Scholarship from 2011 to 2016.
