Russell Jackson is a chef and restaurateur. He is the owner and chef of the Harlem restaurant Reverence, since 2019. Prior to this, Jackson was the proprietor of Lafitte in San Francisco. Previously, he created and operated the supper club SubCulture Dining, was executive chef of Black Cat Restaurant and worked as a private chef. Jackson’s first restaurant was Russell's, located in Los Angeles. He has appeared on the TV shows “SF Chefs,” “Iron Chef America” and “Going Off the Menu.” A leadership member of the Independent Restaurant Coalition, Jackson is a board member of WHEDco.org, Aspen Institute’s Food and Society program and One Fair Wage.
