Ryan Davidson is business development lead at CalWave Power Technologies, a company that is commercializing its emission-free, wave-energy converter technology. Drawing on his experience executive coaching for the John and Ann Doerr Institute for New Leaders and his understanding of target markets and of wave-energy resources, he is pursuing projects globally to strengthen the blue economy, remote coastal microgrids, and utility-scale electrical infrastructure. His goals for CalWave include reducing carbon emissions for offshore industries and coastal communities while helping them lower costs and establish energy independence. Davidson is also engaged in projects examining the potential for utility-scale offshore wind and wave farms off the US east and west coasts to inform offshore energy development in the coming decades.
