Ryan Panchadsaram is an engineer and investor focused on solving systemic societal challenges. As technical advisor to the chairman of Kleiner Perkins, he invests in founders and technologies aiming to change the world. In March 2020 at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Panchadsaram co-founded US Digital Response, a nonprofit that helps governments and organizations respond to support public needs. He was deputy chief technology officer of the United States from 2014 to 2016, and prior to that was part of the team that helped rescue the rollout of Healthcare.gov. Panchadsaram co-founded WhatMatters.com, co-founded and led digital health start-up Pipette, and worked at Microsoft and Salesforce.com, among others. He co-authored the best-seller Speed and Scale.
