Sadanand Dhume is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he writes on the South Asian political economy, foreign policy, business, and society. He is also a South Asia columnist for The Wall Street Journal, for which he has been an Indonesia correspondent. Previously, Dhume was the Bernard Schwartz Fellow at the Asia Society. Prior to that, he was India bureau chief and Indonesia correspondent for the Far Eastern Economic Review. Dhume has written articles and op-eds for publications including Foreign Policy, Forbes, and Commentary; his television appearances include CNN, PBS, BBC World, and Al Jazeera International. Author of a political travelog, My Friend the Fanatic: Travels with a Radical Islamist, his upcoming book discusses the rise of a new right in India.
