Sally Jewell
Global Board Treasurer, The Nature Conservancy
Sally Jewell is the global board treasurer of The Nature Conservancy, where she was previously interim CEO. She is also a regent and distinguished fellow in University of Washington’s College of the Environment. Prior to this, Jewell was U.S. secretary of the interior from 2013 to 2017. In this role, she championed science and data sharing, encouraged investments for sustainable water use in the West, deepened relationships with indigenous communities, and promoted conservation of America’s natural, cultural, and historic treasures. Before this, Jewell was president and CEO of REI. Earlier in her career, she spent 19 years in commercial banking across a range of industries and was an engineer in the energy sector.
