Sam Fragoso is the host of “Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso,” a weekly podcast of conversations with artists, writers and politicians that he founded in 2016. Past guests include Tom Hanks, Gloria Steinem, Margaret Atwood, Questlove and Beto O’Rourke. Also a filmmaker, his debut film “Sebastian,” about his grandfather who emigrated from Mexico to America in 1948, played at festivals and on Showtime’s Spotlight series. Fragoso previously worked as a journalist and film critic. He was founder and editor in chief of Movie Mezzanine and has written regularly for RogerEbert.com, The Week, Indiewire and others. His writing has also appeared in The Atlantic, Vanity Fair and NPR. Earlier, Fragoso was creative director at San Francisco’s Roxie Theater.
