Sandy Speicher is CEO and partner of the global design firm IDEO. A practicing designer and educator, she is recognized for designing large-scale systems that create impacts for business and society. She designed a school system in Peru that has grown to 43 schools in that country, scaled to Mexico, and inspired other countries. Joining IDEO in 2004, Speicher has held multiple roles, including managing director of education. She is widely cited in national publications and has taught at the Stanford d.school, Washington University in St. Louis, and Redding Elementary School in San Francisco. She’s a member of the Thought Leadership Council at Khan Academy, a strategic advisor to Pearson, and speaks globally about the value of design thinking.
