Sellanga “Blinky Bill” Ochieng is a Kenyan musician, producer, and DJ. He is a TED Fellow and a Red Bull Music alumnus. Blinky Bill’s music is a mix of African sounds, electronica, hip-hop, funk, and jazz. His latest self-produced album, Everyone’s Just Winging It and Other Fly Tales, came out in October 2018, following the EP, We Cut Keys Whilst You Wait. Blinky Bill was a founding member of the electro-funk Just a Band, with whom he released three albums. He has collaborated with Chance the Rapper, played at Cape Town Jazz Festival, and was named to the Yerba Buena Centre of the Arts’ 2018 YBCA 100 list of people shifting culture and creating change.
