Sheena Iyengar is the S.T. Lee Professor of Business in Columbia Business School’s management division. An expert on choice and decision-making, she created a six-step method for teaching people how to take advantage of neurological and cognitive science to generate ideas. Iyengar’s research has been cited in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Economist, as well as in books such as Gladwell’s Blink and Ansari’s Modern Romance. She has also appeared on the “Today Show,” “The Daily Show,” and “GPS.” Iyengar’s social psychology Ph.D. dissertation at Stanford, “Choice and its Discontents,” received the university’s Best Dissertation Award. The author of The Art of Choosing and Think Bigger, her recognition includes being named to the 2019 Thinkers50 list.
