Sofia Ongele is digital strategy coordinator for Gen-Z for Change, creating tools to streamline digital civic engagement on issues from the climate crisis to inclusive education. Previously, she developed the app ReDawn to support survivors of sexual violence. Ongele has also taught over 140 underrepresented peers how to code through Kode With Klossy programs. A TikTok creator, she shares her digital creations, life experiences, and sociopolitical takes with almost 300,000 followers. Ongele has spoken at engagements from the Supreme Court steps to Consumer Technology Association’s CES, and been featured on MSNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, and in Teen Vogue. A Paradigm Challenge Grand Prize winner, Ongele was named CES Young Innovator to Watch and UNiDAYS Student Woman of the Year.
