Stacey Abrams is a political leader, nonprofit CEO, serial entrepreneur, lawyer, and author. She was the 2018 Democratic nominee for governor of Georgia, and served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2007 to 2017 — as minority leader from 2011 to 2017. Throughout her career, Abrams founded multiple organizations devoted to voting rights, training and hiring young people of color, and tackling social issues. Her most recent endeavors include launching Fair Fight to ensure every American has a voice in elections, Fair Count to ensure accuracy in the 2020 Census and greater civic engagement, and the Southern Economic Advancement Project. An author of multiple romance novels, she also wrote Lead from the Outside and, most recently, Our Time is Now.
