Starlee Sykes is CEO of Archaea Energy, a U.S.-based bioenergy company acquired by bp in 2022. With bp since 1997, she previously was senior vice president for the Gulf of Mexico and Canada, vice president of global offshore projects, and vice president of global deepwater projects. In this capacity, Sykes led the creation of the first global subsea solutions business and advocated for standardized industry practices and increased collaboration. Her recognition includes being named World Affairs Council of Greater Houston’s 2021 International Citizen of the Year and to Oil and Gas Investor’s 25 most influential women in energy of 2021 and Women Inc’s influential women executives of 2022 lists.
