Stefan Streckfus is chief technical officer at Renewell Energy, which he co-founded with the aim to convert oil and gas’s greatest liability into renewable energy’s greatest asset. A 2020 graduate of Stanford University, he has a Master of Science in civil and environmental engineering from its Atmosphere and Energy Program. Streckus went to Stanford to study the energy industry and its impacts on the environment after working in Madagascar and witnessing the installation of solar panels in previously dark neighborhoods. Prior to that, he designed, sourced, and commercialized equipment for six years at Burger King Corporation. Early in his career, Streckfus’s dream was to design golf clubs.
