Steve Bullock is governor of Montana (D), serving in his second term. He was the state’s attorney general from 2009 to 2013. Previously, Bullock worked in private practice in Montana and Washington, DC. Earlier in his career, he worked for four years in the Montana Justice Department, as executive assistant attorney general and then acting chief deputy and legislative director, and was chief legal counsel to the Montana secretary of state. As governor, Bullock has worked with Democrats and Republicans to make investments in public education, expand health care, protect public lands and streams and access to them, and make strides toward equal pay for equal work, among other priorities.
