Stewart Vanderwilt is president and CEO of Colorado Public Radio, Colorado’s only public-radio network serving a statewide audience. Prior to joining CPR in 2018, Vanderwilt was the director and general manager of Austin’s KUT and KUTX radio stations for 18 years. Under his leadership, KUT’s first news department was launched in 2002; “Texas Standard,” the national daily news show of Texas, was developed; and the newsroom earned over 250 awards for journalistic excellence. Before that, Vanderwilt spent 15 years at Indiana Public Radio in various positions.
