Sue Curry is interim executive vice president and provost of University of Iowa, where she is also a distinguished professor of health management and policy in the College of Public Health. She works at the intersection of public health and clinical care with emphasis on chronic disease prevention and management. She has also studied use and cost-effectiveness of interventions under different insurance plans and the effects of prevention on health care costs and utilization. Curry is vice chair of the US Preventive Services Task Force. She has received awards from the American Society for Preventive Oncology, the Society of Behavioral Medicine, and the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco.
