Susan Tierney is a senior advisor at Analysis Group, consulting on energy markets and economic and environmental regulation and strategy. She was formerly assistant secretary for policy at the US Department of Energy and a state cabinet officer for environmental affairs and public utility commissioner in Massachusetts. Tierney chairs DOE’s Electricity Advisory Committee and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s External Advisory Board. She is a director of the World Resources Institute, Resources for the Future, the Energy Foundation, ClimateWorks Foundation, and the Keystone Center, and she serves on advisory committees at New York University Law School’s Policy Integrity Institute and Duke University’s Nicholas School for the Environment.
