Thea Mei Lee is president of the Economic Policy Institute. Previously, she served as deputy chief of staff, policy director, and chief international economist at the AFL-CIO. She earlier worked as an international trade economist at EPI and as an editor at Dollars & Sense magazine in Boston. Lee is co-author of A Field Guide to the Global Economy and has appeared on numerous television and radio shows, including “PBS NewsHour,” CNN, “Good Morning America,” NPR’s “All Things Considered” and “Marketplace,” and the PBS documentary Commanding Heights. She has testified before several committees of the US House of Representatives and the Senate on economic policy topics.
