Thomas Heatherwick is the founder and design director of Heatherwick Studio. Since 1994, he has designed city districts, cultural landmarks and transport modes across the globe. Heatherwick’s studio is currently working on over 30 projects in 10 countries, including Seoul, South Korea’s Nodeul Island and Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 5. Previous projects include Azabudai Hills, a new neighborhood in Tokyo; Little Island, a public park in New York City; and Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa in Cape Town, South Africa. Heatherwick has given talks at Royal Institute of British Architects, Bartlett School of Architecture, and the South Africa Design Indaba conference. He is a Royal College of Art senior fellow, Victoria and Albert Museum senior research fellow, and Royal Academy fellow.
