Tillie Walton is a river conservationist and guide, hydrologist, environmental planner, and speaker. Her love of rivers was inspired by over 15 years of leading whitewater expeditions through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River and on other rivers around the world. Host of the PBS series “Wild Rivers with Tillie,” Walton previously was a guest co-host for the PBS program “In the Americas with David Yetman.” Holding an annual Grand Canyon river expedition with diverse groups of leaders to build awareness of the importance of water and inspire collaborations, she has helped create large river-restoration projects. Walton’s recognition includes River Network’s 2018 River Hero award and being named to Popsugar’s 2018 list of 28 Women Changing the World Right this Second.
