J. Todd Mitchell is the founder and president of Two Seven Ventures, a venture capital fund that backs low-carbon-energy technologies and projects. He has spent his career in the energy industry, previously as a principal in start-up companies related to natural gas exploration and geophysics, and as a director of two public oil and gas exploration companies. Mitchell has served as president of the Houston Advanced Research Center, a nonpartisan sustainability science nonprofit working on air, water, and energy issues in Texas, and he currently serves as HARC’s board chairman. He was also a commissioner on the Colorado Air Control Commission.
