Tom Llamas is a senior national correspondent for NBC News, reporting for “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt,” “Today,” “NBC News NOW,” and MSNBC, and anchoring a primetime newscast for NBC News NOW. Previously, he anchored the “World News Tonight” weekend edition at ABC News, where he was also chief national affairs correspondent and an anchor for ABC News Live. Prior to that, Llamas worked at WNBC in New York and WTVJ in Florida. He began his broadcast career with the NBC News Specials Unit during the 2000 presidential election before moving to MSNBC. Llamas’s honors include the National Association of Hispanic Journalists’ Presidential Award of Impact, El Diario’s El Award, 2013 Emmy awards for Best Anchor and Best Hard News Story, and two regional Edward R. Murrow awards for feature and hard news reporting in 2012.
