Tom Price
Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services
Tom Price is US secretary of health and human services, sworn in on February 10, 2017. From 2005 to 2017, he was the US representative for Georgia’s 6th congressional district, with leadership roles including chairman of the House Budget Committee, House Republican Policy Committee, and Republican Study Committee. Prior to that, he was elected to four terms in the Georgia State Senate, serving as senate minority whip and later as Republican senate majority leader. An orthopedic surgeon for 20 years, Price ran his own orthopedic practice in Atlanta, was medical director Grady Memorial Hospital’s orthopedic clinic, and was an assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine.
