Tom Vilsack is the 32nd US secretary of agriculture. He was nominated by President Biden to resume the office in which he served for eight years under President Obama. Prior to returning to the USDA, Vilsack was president and CEO of the US Dairy Export Council. Previously, he served two terms as the governor of Iowa, in the Iowa Senate, and as the mayor of Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
