Tyler Mitchell is an artist, photographer, and filmmaker based in Brooklyn. His work introduces new narratives about beauty and desire, embracing history while creating fictionalized moments for an imagined future. Mitchell’s images emphasize play, empowerment and self-determination. His work is held in major collections, including at Museum of Modern Art in New York City, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, High Museum of Art, and Brooklyn Museum. Mitchell has exhibited worldwide at Gagosian, Amsterdam’s Foam, and C/O Berlin. His photography has appeared in Vogue, i-D, AnOther Magazine, Vanity Fair and Aperture. Mitchell has collaborated commercially with Loewe, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Ferragamo, among others. He received the 2024 Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator from the British Fashion Council.
