Wendy MacNaughton is an artist, graphic journalist, and educator and is creator and “drawer-in-chief” of DrawTogether, a participatory drawing web series for kids. The enterprise includes DrawTogether Classrooms, which provides free social-emotional-learning and art curriculums; DrawTogether Grown-Ups Table, which offers art lessons, exercises, and wellness support; and DrawTogether Strangers, an interactive public art project that encourages pairs of strangers to sit down, face to face, and draw portraits of each other. MacNaughton is author-artist of “How to Say Goodbye,” based on her artist’s residency at a California hospice facility, and “Meanwhile in San Francisco.” She has illustrated many bestselling books, including “Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat” by Samin Nosrat and “The Gutsy Girl” by Caroline Paul, and was a visual columnist for The New York Times and The California Sunday Magazine.
