Wendy Sherman is senior counselor at Albright Stonebridge Group. As undersecretary of state for political affairs from 2011 to 2015, she led the US negotiating team to reach the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action between the P5+1, European Union, and Iran, for which she was awarded the National Security Medal. Sherman was previously vice chair and founding partner of Albright Stonebridge Group, a US State Department counselor, special advisor to President Clinton and policy coordinator on North Korea, and assistant secretary for legislative affairs under Warren Christopher. A senior fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center, she is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Aspen Strategy Group.
