Will Shafroth is president and CEO of the National Park Foundation, leading the organization’s work supporting National Park Service programs and projects that conserve natural habitats, restore trails, and preserve history and culture. He was previously principal deputy assistant secretary for Ken Salazar’s Department of the Interior, from 2009 to 2011. Before that, Shafroth launched and led the Colorado Conservation Trust and was the first executive director of Great Outdoors Colorado, which funds conservation, recreation, and education projects and programs. Earlier in his career, Shafroth was assistant secretary for the California Natural Resources Agency and western regional director of American Farmland Trust. He has chaired the Land Trust Alliance and the Resources Legacy Fund boards.
