Willie J. Parker is a reproductive justice advocate who travels as an abortion provider in Alabama and Georgia. Formerly in private practice in obstetrics and gynecology, he was also previously a CDC epidemic intelligence service officer and an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at University of Hawaii School of Medicine. Parker authored Life’s Work: A Moral Argument for Choice and chairs the Physicians for Reproductive Health board. He has received numerous honors, including the 2015 Helen Rodriguez-Trias Social Justice Award, 2016 Dr. David Gunn Lifetime Achievement Award from the Abortion Care Network, and was named one of twelve Women’s Human Rights Defenders by the UN Office of Human Rights.
