Yamiche Alcindor is the Washington correspondent for NBC News and a contributor for MSNBC. She has appeared on “Morning Joe,” “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” and “The Rachel Maddow Show,” among others. Previously, Alcindor was a national political reporter for The New York Times, covering the presidential campaigns of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, Congress, and the impact of President Trump’s policies on working class people and people of color. Prior to this, she was a national breaking news reporter for USA Today. A member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Alcindor was named its 2013 Emerging Journalist of the Year.
