Yasheng Huang is a professor at MIT Sloan School of Management, where he founded and runs China Lab and India Lab. The former associate dean of Sloan School, he holds honorary and special-term professorships at several Chinese universities. Huang’s research projects include one on economic development in China, a collaboration with Tsinghua University researchers to construct databases on Chinese technological inventions, and co-investigating food safety with an MIT multidisciplinary research team. He has published eleven books in English and Chinese, was named one of the most outstanding scholars conducting research on policy issues by the National Asia Research Program, and received a Stanford University National Fellowship and a Social Science Research Council-MacArthur Fellowship.
