Zaki Barzinji

Zaki Barzinji is program director of Aspen Digital at the Aspen Institute, empowering responsible stewardship of technology and media. Prior to this, he was the head of state and local government affairs for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Previously, Barzinji was senior associate director of public engagement and liaison to Arab-Americans, Muslims, Sikhs, and other minority faiths to the Obama White House. Earlier in his career, he was technology policy advisor and deputy director of intergovernmental affairs for former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe. Barzinji’s writing and commentary has appeared in Politico, The Atlantic, BuzzFeed, and The Washington Post. He is a member of the Virginia Data Advisory Commission, appointed by former Governor Ralph Northam.
