Igniting the Power and Potential of Women and Girls
Setup
A society that dedicates resources to women is certain to be a healthier society. Ensuring equitable access to education, healthcare, and entrepreneurial opportunities can nurture family well-being and support thriving communities. Yet the pandemic dealt a bitter blow to global progress, sending 47 more million women into extreme poverty, escalating sexual violence, and undermining the availability of childcare. The intertwined crises of climate change, war, and refugee flight do further harm to women and girls. In a post-COVID world, centering gender equity in care delivery and refreshed commitments to economic justice and leadership training are vital to better health outcomes and stronger communities.
