Victor Cha holds the D.S. Song-KF Professorship in Government and International Affairs at Georgetown University. Since 2009, he has also been senior advisor for Asia and Korea Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Cha served as director for Asian affairs at the White House National Security Council from 2004 to 2007, where he was also the deputy head of delegation for the United States at the Six Party Talks in Beijing. He is the author of five books, including The Impossible State: North Korea, Past and Future and the latest, Powerplay: Origins of the American Alliance System in Asia.
