David Brancaccio is host and senior editor of “Marketplace Morning Report,” reporting on the future of the economy, financial and labor markets, technology, the environment, and social enterprises. He began his career with “Marketplace” in the early 1990s as its European correspondent and hosted its evening program from 1993 to 2003. Brancaccio has also co-anchored then anchored the PBS television news magazine “Now.” He starred in the documentary Fixing the Future and authored the book Squandering Aimlessly. Host of the “Esquire Classic” podcast, his written work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Baltimore Sun, and The Guardian. Among his broadcast journalism awards are a Peabody, Alfred I. duPont-Columbia, Cronkite, and Emmy.
