David Petraeus is a partner in KKR investment firm, chair of the KKR Global Institute, a strategic adviser for Sempra and Advanced Navigation, and director of Optiv and OneStream. He is also the Kissinger Fellow at Yale University’s Jackson School and has taught at the University of Southern California and City University of New York Honors College, among others. Previously, Petraeus was CIA director and a general with over 37 years of service in the Army, including leader of U.S. Central Command and of coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Co-author of “Conflict: The Evolution of Warfare from 1945 to Ukraine,” he is co-chair of the Woodrow Wilson Institute’s Global Advisory Council and a member of the Trilateral Commission and Aspen Strategy Group.
