Rebecca Blumenstein is president of editorial at NBC News, responsible for its editorial teams, newsgathering, field operations, booking, “Meet the Press,” “Dateline NBC” and NBC News Studios. Prior to this, she was deputy managing editor of The New York Times. Previously, Blumenstein was deputy editor in chief of The Wall Street Journal, after serving as Page One editor, deputy managing editor and international editor there. She was also managing editor of WSJ.com and China bureau chief, overseeing the China team that won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting. A 2009 Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow, Blumenstein is board chair of Columbia Journalism Review and a board member of the Wallace House/Center for Journalists at University of Michigan.
